Our Ms. Vasanthi Sathasivam had the privilege of completing her pupilage and then continuing her legal practice in one of the country’s premier legal firms which specialized in highly contentious legal disputes back in year 1999. With 23 years of legal practice as an Advocate & Solicitor, Ms. Vasanthi honed her legal skills and experience as a litigator via other legal establishments in the Country.

Ms. Vasanthi developed her passion for Family Matters over the years and currently specializes in Family & Divorce Matters amongst other areas of law pertaining to Civil Litigation. With her vast experience and managerial skills, Ms Vasanthi established K. Sugu & Associates with Mr. Sugumaran Kumareson in year 2007 and has been the Firm’s Managing Partner ever since.

Ms. Vasanthi provides legal advisory services to various individual clients and establishments in the Country. Due to her passion for Family & Divorce Matters, Ms. Vasanthi provides free ‘first consultations’ for prospective clients. During these consultations, Ms. Vasanthi endeavors to empower prospective clients with guidance, knowledge and options that are available to them.

Ms. Vasanthi’s professional time is usually spent towards first establishing a degree of comfort and trust with the prospective client, before any engagement of services is done. This is a very important aspect of her legal practice in the area of Family & Divorce Matters which requires a high degree of personal confidence & trust by the prospective client.

Our Mr. Sugumaran Kumareson is a graduate of University of London and has 22 years of legal practice as an Advocate & Solicitor.

Mr. Sugumaran has headed several litigation departments in various legal firms and in time developed his litigation skills and gained vast experience in various areas of the law from Criminal Law to Civil Litigation disputes.

Mr. Sugumaran together with Ms.Vasanthi Sathasivam then established ‘K. Sugu & Associates’ in year 2007 with a more concentrated focus towards legal practice in the areas of general Civil Litigation.

Mr. Sugumaran currently provides legal advisory and legal drafting services for various establishments in the country through K. Sugu & Associates and has since 2007 developed an impressive base of clientele ranging from individual clients to establishments from various industries in the Country.

Our Ms. Subathra is an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. She chambered in the prestigious firm of Messrs Sri Ram & Co (now known as Kumar Partnership) and was later admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 15th September 2000. She commenced practice as a legal assistant in October 2000 with Messrs Dorairaj, Low & Teh where she remained till October 2013. Subsequently she was a partner in the firm of Messrs Alfonso & Nathan from 2014 until September 2018.

Currently, she is a partner in Messrs K Sugu & Associates. Ms. Subathra is a litigator and also does conveyancing and contract drafting on an ad hoc basis. She handles hearings from the Subordinate Courts to the Court of Appeal. She negotiates and advises on all aspects of contractual matters, matters related to family law, breach of contract, tortious matters, recovery of loans for commercial banks, administration of estates and tenancy disputes.

Ms. Subathra is also well equipped with the legal knowledge on debt recovery and all related execution work such as Writs of Seizure & Sale, Bankruptcy Proceedings, Divorce Proceedings, Judgment Debtor Summonses, and Garnishee Proceedings.

Simply put, her practice focuses squarely on the client. Providing client orientated legal solutions, based on years of professional experience in building trust, and meeting requested business targets on time.
